Hey, I’m Austin Martin — former aerospace engineer, collegiate soccer player… and someone who broke his body before turning 30.
Over the years, I racked up a laundry list of injuries:

I was worried I wouldn’t be able to play with my kid. I was scared that traveling would come with constant pain and the fear that my body might not hold up.
So I did what any engineer would do: I became my own rehab experiment.
I spent years testing everything — physical therapy, mobility drills, fascia release, stability work, strength programs, supplements — you name it. And eventually, I cracked the code.

I was an avid runner. I would run no less than two miles a day—until I got injured. I misplaced my footing while stepping off a treadmill and twisted my foot. After that, I couldn’t work out, and I was absolutely frustrated with myself. I didn’t have the patience to wait for results. As time went on and the pain lessened, I tried strength training. I felt strong, but my diet wasn’t the best, and I avoided cardio out of fear of reinjuring my foot. I felt puffy and had a belly pouch. I was nowhere near where I wanted to be. Around that time, I got pregnant. Luckily, God blessed me with a pregnancy that allowed me to attend Pilates from week 18 to 37. After having the baby, I was more determined than ever. At the end of January, I started a bodyweight program with Future Strength Labs. These workouts helped me activate muscle groups I didn’t even know existed, and they taught me to focus on the mind-body connection. And fascia? I had never even heard of it! I also never took rest and recovery days seriously enough. But thanks to the confidence and results I saw from the bodyweight program, I decided to pursue a running program to build strength in my foot and increase endurance. I also lost a ton of weight and put on muscle with the nutrition plan. Since I was six months postpartum, I took it slow—starting with half a mile in the first week, then .75 the next, one mile the third week, and so on. Now I’m consistently running about 1.75 miles. I still have a long way to go, but none of this would’ve been possible without the support from Future Strength Labs. I’m seeing less inflammation in my body, and the pre-run stretches help me feel confident running again—without the fear of injury. I love the text messages throughout the week; they keep me motivated. The app tells you when to submit progress photos and keeps you competitive with forcing yourself to hit 7,500 steps minimum daily.
